Wrap-a-Read is a community literacy initiative that brings the joy of reading to families during the holiday season. Each December, families registered with the Langley Christmas Bureau are invited to select a brand-new book for their child during Toy Depot Days, giving children the opportunity to build their own home libraries.
More than just a gift, each book is a step toward supporting literacy, confidence, and a lifelong love of reading.
This program not only helps ensure children receive presents during the holidays, but also provides low-income families with access to books, an essential resource for learning and connection at home.
Wrap-a-Read is delivered in partnership with the Fraser Valley Regional Library and is made possible through the support of dedicated volunteers who help families choose books that match their children’s interests and reading levels.
