The Langley Literacy Network is looking for volunteers to lead welcoming and engaging Conversation Circles for English Language Learners (ELL).
What Are Conversation Circles? Conversation Circles are relaxed, friendly group sessions where adults practice speaking English through everyday topics. As a facilitator, you’ll guide conversations, encourage participation, and help create a supportive space where everyone feels comfortable—no teaching experience required.
What You’ll Do
Lead small group conversations in a relaxed setting
Encourage participants to speak and build confidence
Introduce simple discussion topics or activities
Create an inclusive, respectful, and welcoming environment
Support learners at different comfort and skill levels
Program Details
Location: Online and in-person across Langley
Schedule: Tuesday evenings on-line, Saturday or Sunday in-person (times may change due to classes)
Commitment: 1–2 hours per week
Training & Support: Guidance and resources are provided
